BELTON, Texas - Volleyball finished the weekend with a three-set loss to Mary Hardin-Baylor.
"It was a tough match," said head coach
Troy Canaba. "UMHB is a tough team. You can't make any errors or mistakes against them. We just have to keep working and getting better."

Set 1:
Sully got out to a 1-0 lead on an attack error and later tied it 2-2 with the help of a service error. The Crusaders then used an 11-1 run for a 13-3 advantage.
The Lobos used kills from
Taryn Griner,
Victoria Flores and a service ace from
Kamrynn Caruth for a 3-0 answer to cut it to 13-6.
UMHB continued to hold a comfortable lead and took the first set by a 25-10 score.
Set 2:
The Crusaders opened the set with a 5-2 run but saw Sully force four ties over the first 12 points for a 6-6 score.
Sully later trailed 14-10 before a 5-1 run tied it at 15-15.
UMHB responded with a 10-4 run to finish the set by a 25-19 score.
Set 3:
The Lobos opened the set with a 3-1 lead that started with a kill from
Brylee Sweeten. They then held a 4-2 advantage after a kill from Canaba.
An 8-0 run proceeded for the Crusaders to lead 10-4.
Sully used a 6-3 answer to cut it to three. Canaba started with a kill before
Daniella Garcia and Griner added kills to help make it a 13-10 score.
UMHB upped their lead to six before back-to-back kills from Canaba and an ace from
Loren Garcia made it a 17-14 deficit.
The Crusaders responded with a 5-0 run before scoring went back and forth the remainder of the set for a 25-17 win and sweep of the match.
Faith Herrera had a game-high 18 digs.
Canaba led the Lobos with eight kills, adding nine assists and five digs.
Caruth had a team-best 15 assists and added four digs.
Sully stands at 9-6 on the season and 6-4 in conference play. The Crusaders move to 15-0 and 10-0.
The Lobos next host University of the Southwest at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 5 for non-conference action at the Gallego Center.
