Tied 8-8, a 12-4 Lobo run tied their largest lead of the first half. Licon started the run with a layup to retake the lead. Logan Dixon added the next five for Sully with a triple and a jumper for a 15-10 lead. Cole Avery and B.J. The Lobos held at least a five-point lead until Licon's triple at 6:49 put them ahead 25-17.

The YellowJackets took control over the next 5:20 with a 16-5 run to lead 68-55 with just over nine minutes left in regulation.

Licon cut it to 10 with a triple. Cailen Bond was later fouled on a made jumper and sank the free throw to make it a seven-point game with 8:11 left. Scoring didn't resume until Hollis sank the backend of his two free throws over two minutes later for a 68-52 LETU lead at 5:52.

Sully inched closer on a Dixon layup and foul to cut it to 72-68 after the resulting free throw at 2:44.

Dixon again trimmed it to four at 2:11, but the YellowJackets outscored the Lobos 11-9 down the stretch to hand Sully its first conference loss, 85-79.
