ABILENE- Five turnovers and two fourth quarter rushing touchdowns from quarterbacks lifted the Lobos to their first win of the season in the annual Battle of I-20 Saturday over the McMurry War Hawks.
Scoring for the Lobos got started in the first quarter with a 76-yard interception return for a touchdown by
Cory McMahan for a 7-0 lead.
In the second quarter it was a Dee Robinson's 8-yard touchdown run that tied the game 7-7 with 12:01 left in the first half.
Javeon Moses intercepted quarterback Xavier Alexander late in the 2nd quarter to keep it 7-7 going to the half.
Isaiah Jacobs intercepted Alexander in the third quarter to thwart another drive as the game went to the fourth quarter at 7-7.
Moses came up big again with a punt block deep in McMurry territory that was returned to the 2-yard line by
Dominic Gaines.

Clayton Maxwell's 2-yard touchdown run on the next play to put the Lobos up 14-7 with 10:03 left.
The Lobos received the ball with 7:00 left and marched down the field on a seven-play, 64-yard drive capped by a 1-yard touchdown run from quarterback
Trey Johns for a 21-7 lead with 2:26 left and the eventual win.

Jorge Barrera threw for 115 yards on 10-16 passing.
Williton Grear rushed for 61 yards on 10 carries.
Kadarius Page rushed nine times for 58 yards.
The Lobos forced five turnovers with two fumble recoveries to go with their three interceptions.
The Lobos move to 1-2 on the season and 1-1 in ASC play. The War Hawks are 0-3 and 0-2.
