ALPINE- The Sul Ross volleyball team fell 3-0 to visiting Hardin-Simmons University Friday night at the Gallego Center.
Scores were 25-17, 25-14 and 25-22 in favor of the Cowgirls.
The Lady Lobos looked to extend the match to a fourth set with a 4-0 run capped by a
Karah Martinez service ace to bring it to a 23-20 set three deficit.
The Cowgirls were able to exchange points down the stretch with Sully and eventually took the third set and the match.
With 10 digs tonight,
Hannah Zly extends her double digit digs streak to 17 games. Zly had only accomplished that 14 times in her first two seasons combined.
The Lady Lobos fall to 8-9 on the season and 1-6 in ASC play. The Cowgirls improve to 5-8 and 2-4.
Sully has a quick turnaround with play resuming tomorrow at the Gallego Center with a 2:00 p.m. clash with McMurry.
