SHERMAN- Austin College scored three unanswered goals in the first half and held off a Lobo rally in the second for a 6-4 non-conference win over Sul Ross Sunday afternoon in Sherman.
The Kangaroos' first goal came in the 19th minute off the foot of Isaiah Wingeier from a long pass by Juan Ramirez.
Xander Spurlock then converted, unassisted, from the lower right quadrant at 42:10 before Owen Osagiede dribbled in the home team's third goal of the half at 43:06.
Sul Ross struck first in the second half as Lorenzo Segura punched in off a deflected shot in the box at 49:52.
Austin College spread the gap to three as Ramirez scored off an assist by Phillip Le at the 61:51 mark.
Six minutes later, Osagiede secured his second goal giving the Kangaroos a 5-1 advantage.
Sully's
Luis Gonzalez then scored the first of back-to-back goals off his own rebound and beat the goal keeper inside the right post at 75:02.
Gonzalez scored again at the 79th minute off another rebound he tapped in from the lower right part of the box and pulled the Lobos to within two.
Austin College scored its sixth and final goal of the afternoon near the 80th minute as Ivan Barrios posted his first goal of the season.

Mauricio Perez who scored the final goal for either team at 84:59 but the Kangaroos prevailed for the 6-4 win.
Gonzalez led the Sul Ross effort with six shots putting three on goal.
At 0-2, the Lobo men will take on Schreiner University next Friday in a 4:00 p.m. non-conference contest from Kerrville.
