Ball control issues plagued the Lady Lobo effort as the War Hawks rallied in the final set for a 25-19 victory.

The opening set saw five ties in the beginning before McMurry posted a 6-0 run to take a 12-6 advantage.

Sul Ross broke into double digits off a block assist by Briana McCutcheon (Killeen/Shoemaker) and Breeann Sturges (Woodlake,CA/Exeter).

Sul Ross started the third game on a 4-0 run ending on a kill by Brittany Serrano (Marfa/MHS). Another 4-0 drive put Sully up 8-2 off a War Hawk ball handling error.

McMurry pulled to within a point off a Sul Ross attack error and trailed 8-7 before another kill by Serrano, a pair of kills by Autumn Kilpatrick (Sterling City/SCHS) and an ace by Nina Sterling (San Marcos/SMHS) put Sully ahead, 12-8.

The War Hawks climbed to within a point, down 19-18 but the Lady Lobos were able to maintain the favor as McMurry ended the game on an attack error for the 25-23 Sul Ross victory.

Following a 5-5 knotting the War Hawks took the lead and held the advantage until a series of attack errors by the visitors tied the set at 15.
