ALPINE, Texas-Senior Rocky Feliciano (El Paso/Hanks) nailed down a career high 32 points and helped his teammates hold on for a 94-91 ASC victory over Concordia at a rowdy Gallego Center Saturday.

The win solidifies the Lobos as ASC West Division champions as Sul Ross is slated to host the annual men's conference tournament February 25-27.

Opponent matchups and tournament outlines will be available next weekend following the wrap up of regular season play.

Freshman Brock Anders (Keller/KHS) and Caleb Thomasson (Ackerly/Sands) posted 14 points each in the victory over the Tornadoes.

Jacob Dawson (Amarillo/AHS) and Alex Harrison (Lubbock/Monterey) rounded out double figure scorers with 13 and 11 points respectively.

Sul Ross was hot from the field finishing 32 of 49 at 65 percent and shot an astounding 70 percent from outside the arc at seven of ten.

For the fourth time this season Feliciano has had a perfect showing from the free throw line shooting a flawless 8-8 from the charity stripe.

Following an 8-8 tie at the 16:06 mark, first half, Sul Ross held the lead throughout the remainder of the opening slot and mounted an 8-0 run which was capped by a Feliciano three ball at 8:58 and Sully ahead 32-18.

Concordia cut the Lobo lead down to two possessions at 49 seconds off a jumper in the lane by Joe Neal.

Feliciano popped a three-pointer with just three seconds left before the break to give Sully a 51-44 advantage heading to intermission.

The Tornadoes would tie the game at 52 off of a pair of free throws by Ben Page with 17:47 remaining in the second half and took the lead off a layup by Neal at 17:27.

Concordia went up by four before a scooper by Feliciano at 15:48 knotted the outing at 56.

Page converted again from midrange on the ensuing possession and put the visitors up 58-56.

Another paint shot by Feliciano at 14:09 swung the favor back to the Lobos who eventually climbed to a seven-point 69-62 lead off a 6-0 run.

The Tornadoes struggled to a handful of two-point deficits down the stretch of the period and took the lead, 82-81 off a free throw by Donovan Ford at 4:28.

Dawson then completed two foul shots at 3:30 giving Sully a slim 83-82 advantage.

The visitors would pull to within one twice more before Feliciano sealed the lid with a pair of charity shots in the final seven seconds.

The Lobos sport a six-game winning streak and improve to 15-8 on the season and 10-3 in ASC play. Concordia drops to 13-8 and 7-6.
