DALLAS- Rocky Feliciano (El Paso/Hanks) scored a career best 30 points to lead the Sul Ross men's basketball team to a 100-96 overtime shootout victory over Dallas Christian College Thursday evening.

Feliciano, who broke an ASC record against U.T. Permian with a perfect 14 of 14 from the free throw line, improved that feat nailing all 16 of his foul shots against the Crusaders.

Caleb Thomasson (Ackerly/Sands) and Brock Anders (Keller/KHS) supplied 15 points in the win with Thomasson sporting 12 rebounds for his second double double of the season. Jacob Dawson (Amarillo/AHS) and Alex Harrison (Lubbock/Monterrey) added 11 and 10 points to sweeten the deal.

The Lobos shot 49 percent from the field against DCC at 32 of 65.

The Crusaders put up a 10-0 payload against Sul Ross to begin the contest and would go on to lead by as many as 14.

Sully regrouped with an 8-0 run and tied the game at 32 with a paint jumper by Feliciano at 3:01.

A free throw by Dawson broke the stalemate as the Lobos would end the half off of two more foul shots by Harrison that gave Sully a 38-34 advantage heading to intermission.

The Lobos unleashed a pair of 19-point leads in the second period before a resilient comeback by the Crusaders narrowed the DCC debt down to a possession trailing 84-82 with 31 seconds left in regulation.

Dallas Christian's Edgar Guerecca converted two shots from the stripe to knot the game at 84 and push the contest to overtime.

The two teams swiped leads throughout the extra slot.

Feliciano scored on a layup and added a free throw for good measure with five seconds left in OT giving Sul Ross a 98-96 favor as time expired.

The game officially ended on a Crusader foul which set up a pair of converted free throws by Thomasson as the Lobos held on for the 100-96 victory.

With the win Sul Ross improves to 2-5 on the season while DCC drops to 1-10.

The Lobos will take on the University of Dallas at 3:00 p.m. Saturday in Irving.
