BELTON- Mary Hardin-Baylor held the Sul Ross volleyball team to a .041 attack percentage and swept past the Lady Lobos in a 3-0 conference decision Friday in Belton.
UMHB put up identical .414 hit percentages over the first two sets and finished the night hitting .407.
Scores were 25-14, 25-13 and 25-7.
Candice Hugi (Marysville, CA) and Brittany Serrano (Marfa) mustered five and four kills respectively while Katie Reeves (Odessa) supplied eight assists. Rachel Rivas (El Paso) tallied seven digs to lead the defense while Serrano contributed six stops.
UMHB's Shelby Russell posted a double double 11 kills and 10 digs while Abby Voskuil recorded a 10-kill effort.
Sul Ross drops to 6-16 on the season and 2-9 in ASC competition. Mary Hardin-Baylor improves to 15-8 and 9-2.
The Lady Lobos will head south to Austin to face Concordia in a 2 p.m. conference match Saturday.
