AUSTIN- Sul Ross struggled to gather any offensive momentum as the visiting Lady Lobos dropped a 3-0 conference decision to Concordia Saturday.
Sully finished with a .133 attack percentage for the match and fell in scores of 25-17, 25-17 and 25-22.
Rachel Rivas (El Paso) and Brittany Serrano (Marfa) posted double figures in digs with 10 scoops each.
The Lady Lobos tied the opening set six times before a 5-0 run down the stretch by Concordia lifted the Tornadoes to the 25-17 victory.
In the second game Concordia never lost the advantage and mounted a 9-0 surge to lead 13-3.
Sully's final score in the set came on an attack error by the opposition before the Tornadoes claimed the 27-17 win.
Sul Ross held the lead through the first part of the final set before Concordia rallied from a two-point deficit with a 7-0 drive and led the Lady Lobos, 20-15.
The Lady Lobos kept it tight over the final haul but lacked enough thrust to regain the lead as the home team went on for the 25-22 edging.
Sul Ross drops to 6-17 on the year and 2-10 in ASC competition. Concordia improves to 11-8 and 7-5 with their victory over the Lady Lobos.
Sully closes out the season next weekend at the Halloween Classic hosted by Texas Lutheran University.
