Codt Stone was named Assistant Athletic Director for Business and Operations for Sul Ross State on Aug. 18
Stone spent the last two years as a graduate assistant for the Greater Waco Sports Commission. He led operations for a Corporate Cup event, managing participation from 35+ businesses. Among his duties, Stone oversaw event logistics, coordinated communications with partners and managed on-site production.
Stone was a THSBOA basketball official for the Waco Basketball Chapter (Oct. 2023 – July 2025). He was a baseball coach for the Waco Storm Baseball Club (May 2022 – July 2025).
Stone played baseball at the University of the Southwest (N.M.) (2021-23). He was 13-12 with 128 strikeouts and 4.89 E.R.A. over 193 innings. Stone helped the Mustangs qualify for the Red River Athletic Conference Tournament all three seasons. He was a three-time RRAC Scholar-Athlete and a President’s Award recipient.
Stone has a B.B.A. in Sports Management from the University of the Southwest and a Master of Education in Sports Management from Baylor.
