Wiliton Grear is in his third year as head strength and conditioning coach at Sul Ross State.
Grear, a native of Monrovia, Liberia, is no stranger to Sul Ross State University. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Sul Ross in 2020 while completing his master's in Aug. 2022.
This is Grear's first strength and conditioning job after volunteering for two and a half years at Sul Ross as a strength and conditioning coach and assisting the running backs for Lobo football.
Grear was a two-sport standout with the Lobos, playing football and competing in track and field.
He earned first-team American Southwest Conference honors at running back his senior year after he ran for 855 yards and scored six touchdowns. Grear was also a member of the 4x100-meter relay team at Sul Ross that qualified for a spot in the 2018 NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships.
Grear attended Del Valle High School in Austin, Texas, where he was a multi-sport standout in soccer, football, track and powerlifting.
