Served on  the Board of Directors of the Ex-Students' Association for six years

Longtime President of Ex-Students' Association

Increased membership in association to over 1500 member and almost 300 lifetime members

Established the Big Bend Civic Center Foundation

He and his wife have attended every Sul Ross homecoming since 1960
