Andy Rivera is in his fourth year as an Assistant Coach with Sul Ross State football. He served as an Offensive Line Student Assistant Coach in 2023, and Student Assistant on the Defensive Line in 2024. In 2025, he was the Offensive Line Coach. This year he will now serve in the role as the Director of Football Operations, Recruiting Coordinator, Graphic Media Coordinator, and Tightends/Fullbacks Coach for the 2026 season.
Rivera played for the Lobos in 2022 as an Offensive Lineman before joining the coaching staff. He graduated in December of 2025 with a B.S in Kinesiology Exercise Science. He will be graduating with his Master's Degree in Sports Administration in December 2026.
A native of Cibolo, Texas, Rivera currently resides in Alpine, Texas. He has two awesome brothers Adrian and Angel Rivera with two loving parents in Maggie and Adrian Rivera, and his dog, Baxter.
