Alpine, Texas — Sul Ross State University Baseball (4-41, LSC 4-41) continued its Lone Star Conference series against UT Dallas (32-13, LSC 32-13) Saturday afternoon at Kokernot Field, splitting the doubleheader with a dominant offensive showing in game one before falling in game two.

In game one, the Lobos secured a 23-13 victory behind an explosive offensive performance, totaling 16 hits and 19 RBIs. Sul Ross erupted for 15 runs in the first inning and never looked back, as the win also snapped a 44-game home losing streak. Jayden Hernandez led the way going 3-for-5 with five RBIs, while Joseph Binder added two hits and five RBIs. Max Wiggins went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and four runs scored, and Jacob Binder contributed with a home run and three RBIs.

In game two, the Lobos were defeated 20-4 in the seven-inning contest. Sul Ross recorded eight hits, with Max Wiggins hitting a home run and Jared Salinas adding an inside-the-park home run, while Jayden Hernandez added two hits and an RBI.
