Lobos Wrap Up Even Series with Greyhounds

Portales, N.M. - Sul Ross State University Baseball (3-27, 3-27 LSC) concluded its four-game Lone Star Conference series Sunday afternoon against Eastern New Mexico University (10-20, 10-20 LSC) at Greyhound Baseball Field. The Greyhounds took the series finale with a 6-4 win over the Lobos.

Sul Ross battled throughout the contest, staying within reach across all nine innings. Max Wiggins led the Lobos offensively with a 3-for-5 performance and an RBI, while Jacob Binder added two hits including a triple and an RBI. Joseph Binder also contributed with a hit and RBI, and Brock Rogers added an RBI as the Lobos finished with nine hits on the day. The Lobos held a 4-2 lead heading into the seventh inning, but Eastern New Mexico used a four-run frame to take control late in the game.

Sul Ross returns home for a four-game Lone Star Conference series hosting Cameron University Aggies, with the first game scheduled for Friday, March 27, followed by a Saturday, March 28 doubleheader, and concluding the series on Sunday, March 29.
