Lobos Compete on the Road Against Falcons

Odessa, Texas — Sul Ross State University Women's Basketball (3–16, LSC 2–11) competed on the road Thursday evening at the Falcon Dome, falling 75–54 to UT Permian Basin (12–9, LSC 7–6) in a Lone Star Conference matchup.

Sul Ross was led offensively by Sophiya Bustillos, who finished with a game-high 22 points on 7-of-15 shooting, including five three-pointers, while Leslie Mojica added 19 points, three rebounds, one block, and three steals. Defensively, Victoria Aguayo continued her strong play, recording five steals on the night, marking the 10th consecutive game she has posted more than two steals over the last 10 contests. The Lobos showed resilience, energy, and togetherness from start to finish, continuing to grow, compete, and build confidence as a unit through Lone Star Conference play.

Sul Ross continues its road stretch on Saturday, Feb. 7, traveling to San Angelo, Texas, to take on Angelo State University at the Junell Center – Stephens Arena. Tipoff is set for 1:00 PM as the Lobos look to carry their momentum into another Lone Star Conference matchup.
