Lobos Hit the Road to Meet Pioneers and Patriots

Alpine, Texas — The Sul Ross State University Women's Basketball team hits the road this week for a pair of Lone Star Conference matchups, opening the trip with a Thursday night contest at Texas Woman's University in Denton before closing the weekend with a Saturday matinee at University of Texas at Tyler.

Sul Ross opens the road swing on Thursday, January 8, with a 6:00 p.m. tip at Texas Woman's University, as the Lobos return to Lone Star Conference play focused on continued growth through improved execution, ball movement, and sustained effort on both ends of the floor. Sul Ross will look to carry that momentum into Saturday's 1:00 p.m. matchup at UT Tyler, with the two-game trip providing an opportunity to build chemistry, compete with discipline and energy, and continue gaining confidence as conference play progresses. Senior Victoria Aguayo anchors the Lobos on the glass, ranking fifth overall in the Lone Star Conference in rebounds after 11 games, totaling 85 rebounds and averaging 7.7 per game, including 31 offensive rebounds (2.8 per game) and 54 defensive rebounds (4.9 per game).
