Alpine, Texas — Sul Ross State University Women's Basketball (2–15, LSC 1–10) hosted Texas A&M International University (10–7, LSC 7–4) Thursday evening at the Pete P. Gallego Center. The Lobos fell in the Lone Star Conference matchup, 64–49, to the Dustdevils.
Sul Ross opened strong and held a narrow 16–15 advantage at the end of the first quarter, with the contest remaining tightly contested throughout the opening half. The Lobos and Dustdevils traded baskets into the second quarter, and the game remained neck and neck before heading into halftime tied at 25–25. Leslie Mojica led the Lobos with a game-high 19 points on 5-of-10 shooting, adding five rebounds, four assists, and four steals, while Sophiya Bustillos contributed 11 points, seven rebounds, and a three-pointer as Sul Ross leaned on steady guard play early in the conference matchup.
