Alpine, Texas — Sul Ross State University Women's Basketball (1–13, LSC 0–8) hosted Oklahoma Christian University (6–10, LSC 2–7) Thursday evening at the Pete P. Gallego Center. The Lobos battled on their home floor in a 69–80 Lone Star Conference loss to the Eagles.
Sul Ross put together steady offensive production across all four quarters, scoring 15 points in the opening period, 14 in the second, 19 in the third, and closing strong with 21 points in the final quarter. Leslie Mojica led the Lobos with a game-high 21 points on 6-of-9 shooting, adding eight rebounds, five assists, and four steals, while Victoria Aguayo followed with 13 points and a team-high eight rebounds, going a perfect 3-for-3 from the free-throw line. Sul Ross showed continued growth, effort, and resilience as a group throughout the Lone Star Conference contest.
Sul Ross returns to action Saturday, January 17, hosting Cameron University in a Lone Star Conference matchup at the Pete P. Gallego Center in Alpine, Texas. Tipoff is scheduled for 1:00 PM.
