Lobos Continue Season Against CSU Pueblo

ALPINE, Texas – The Sul Ross State women's soccer team took the field on Saturday, September 6, at Lobo Soccer Field in Alpine, Texas, for their second game of the season against CSU Pueblo. Despite a strong effort, the Lobos fell 2-0.

Offensively, the Lobos showed confidence in possession, stringing passes together and pushing into the attacking half with consistency. The team generated seven total shots, keeping pressure on the ThunderWolves' back line and creating looks both inside the box and from distance. Their ability to move the ball through the midfield allowed them to sustain stretches of control and set up multiple scoring opportunities.

Defensively, Sul Ross displayed resilience against a challenging CSU Pueblo attack. The back line worked hard to close gaps, while the goalkeeper stood tall with six saves to keep the game within reach. The Lobos' effort in slowing counterattacks and forcing contested shots highlighted their discipline and commitment on the defensive end, showing growth and determination throughout the match.
