Lobos Fall To Rambelles

SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Sul Ross State University softball team (7-27 Lone Star Conference, 10-33) lost 10-1 and 8-0 to #7 Angelo State (26-8 LSC, 35-9), Friday at Mayer Softball Field.

Game 1
The Rambelles scored four runs in the second inning to effectively end the game.

For Sul Ross State, junior Kyndell Garcia had two hits.  Junior Leanza Chambers (2-14) gave up 12 hits, 10 runs with six earned, walked two and struck out two in four innings.

For Angelo State, Cheyenne Floyd (19-5) gave up two hits, walked one and struck out one in four innings.

Game 2
ASU chipped away scoring six runs over the first four innings to take control.

For Sul Ross State, senior Loren Loveless (0-2) gave up 10 hits and six runs in 3.7 innings.

For Angelo State, Amelia Hatthorn (11-2) gave up two hits and struck out one in two innings.

Sul Ross State remains on the road, Sunday, Apr. 13 playing Lubbock Christian.  The doubleheader is scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m.
