Lobos Wrap Up Series With Dustdevils

ALPINE, Texas – The Sul Ross State University baseball team (2-14 Lone Star Conference, 2-14) lost 26-5 to Texas A&M International (7-9 LSC, 7-10), Sunday afternoon at Kokernot Field.

Texas A&M International scored six runs in the second inning to effectively seal the game.

For Sul Ross State, junior Brock Rogers broke up the no-hitter with a grand slam home run with two outs in the fourth inning.  Senior Jacob Salinas (0-4) gave up one hit, five runs with one earned and walked three in one inning.

For Texas A&M International, Jose Duran (2-1) gave up two hits, four runs, walked three and struck out three in four innings.

Sul Ross hits the road, Friday, Feb. 28, playing Texas A&M Kingsville.  The game is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m.
