Lobos Fall On The Road

LAWTON, Ok. – Junior Victoria Aguayo had a double-double as the Sul Ross State University women's basketball team (1-120 Lone Star Conference, 2-22) lost 86-58 to Cameron (5-16 LSC, 7-1), Saturday afternoon at Aggie Gym.

Cameron scored the first nine points of the game and never looked back.

The Lobos held the Aggies to 31.4% from behind the arc, the 10th time in the last 13 games that an opponent shot 32% or less.

For Sul Ross State, senior Cheyanne Bonilla had 15 points and three steals while Aguayo scored 13 points with 11 rebounds. 

For Cameron, Shamica Smith had 18 points and 11 rebounds.

Sul Ross State closes out the season, Thursday, Feb. 27 at Western New Mexico.  The game is scheduled to start at 5:00 p.m. MT.
