ALPINE, Texas – The Sul Ross State University baseball team (2-11 Lone Star Conference, 2-11) stormed from behind to beat Texas A&M International (4-9 LSC, 4-10) 6-5, Friday afternoon at Kokernot Field.  This was the first LSC win at home for the Lobos.

In the first inning, sophomore Rene Ramos ended up at second on an error.  Ramos moved to third on a ground out and scored on a single from junior Aaron Morales.

After Montayne was replaced on the bases by freshman Adan Velasquez, Ramos singled to load the bases with no outs. Morales was hit by a pitch to move the runners around and score Ortiz.

Junior Joseph Binder drew a walk to push Velasquez across the plate and tie the game at 5-5.  Fifth year player Primo Vasquez lifted a sacrifice fly to center field to score Ramos for the win.
