Strong Finish Gives Lobos Confidence Moving Forward

Kerrville, Texas — Sul Ross State University Women's Basketball (1–1) fell 72–59 on the road Friday evening to Schreiner University (1-4) in Kerrville, Texas.

Sophiya Bustillos led the Lobos with 16 points and eight rebounds, while Victoria Aguayo added eight points, five rebounds, and two assists. Daisy Fernandez posted a strong inside effort with seven points and 13 rebounds, and Emma Schumacher contributed nine points. Sul Ross put together a late push with 21 points in the fourth quarter.

The Lobos now look to regroup and bounce back in their next two games in the Maverick Thanksgiving Classic. November 28 Friday 12:00 PM MT against Fort Lewis College and November 29 Saturday 5:00 PM MT against Colorado Mesa University both matches in Grand Junction, Colorado.
