LAREDO, Texas — Trailing 1-0 in the first half, the Sul Ross State men's soccer team did not back down.
The Lobos scored three goals in the second half to secure a 3-1 victory over the South Dakota Mines Hardrockers on Saturday morning during the final day of the Texas A&M International University Classic at Dustdevil Field.

South Dakota Mines scored during the 14th minute when Joel Eckhardt found the back of the net off an assist by Jayden Roque.
The Lobos were held to just four shots in the opening half.
Sul Ross State went on to fire off eight shots in the second half while holding the Hardrockers to five.
Lewis Coates tied up the match on a penalty kick in the 51st minute.
Tatsuya Cosey gave the Lobos a 2-1 lead when he scored in the 60th minute.
Carlos Gonzalez added an insurance goal in the 87th minute.

- Six players on the Lobos' roster have scored goals this season.
- Goalkeeper Benjamin Aviles made three saves.
