LAREDO, Texas — On Day 1 of the Texas A&M International University Classic, the Sul Ross State men's soccer team suffered a 3-0 loss to the Montana State Billings Yellow Jackets at Dustdevil Field on Thursday night.

>> HOW IT HAPPENED:

Bjarne Fedkenhauer put the Yellow Jackets on top 1-0 in the seventh minute.

On a penalty kick during the 25th minute, Montana State Billings was able to capitalize on a goal from So Nagano.

The Yellow Jackets scored once more in the 89th minute on another penalty kick, this time from Sam Kemmer.

>> GAME NOTES:

• The Lobos tallied more shots than the Yellow Jackets, 14-11.
• Sul Ross State had six shots on goal.
• Lewis Coates finished with five shots and three shots on goal.
• Zachary Trimming had two shots and two shots on goal.
• Mario Hurtado, Angel Lugo and Carlos Gonzalez each had two shots apiece.
• Goalkeeper Benjamin Aviles made eight saves.
