AUSTIN, Texas — It was a competitive doubleheader for the Sul Ross State softball team.
Unfortunately, the Lobos dropped both games to the Concordia University Tornados, 2-1 and 7-5, on Friday night at Roberts Family Field.
>> GAME 1:
Sul Ross State scored in the top of the second when
Madison Hodges came home on an error by the pitcher.
The Tornados came back to tie the game in the bottom of the fifth as a run scored on an error.
Concordia ended up winning the game in walk-off fashion with an RBI single up the middle by Grace Coleman.

Lily Wiser got the Lobos on the board in the top of the first with a sacrifice fly to center that brought in
Samantha Chavez.
The Lobos rallied for four runs on three hits in the top of the fourth.
Alisandria Garcia scored on a passed ball while Chavez hit an RBI single to right to bring in
Kaitlynn Frakes.
Toni Mishnick hit an RBI double to left and then Avila drove in a run with a single through the left side to make the score 5-0.
Concordia cut the deficit to two in the bottom of the fourth as it took advantage of a sac bunt that brought in Kylie Pavlicek.
Four straight walks allowed two more runs to score.
The Tornados tacked on another run in the bottom of the fifth with an RBI single through the left side.
Concordia rallied back in the bottom of the sixth by scoring two runs on three hits. The Tornados got a two RBI double and an RBI triple to highlight the inning.

- Chavez finished 2 for 4 with two singles and an RBI.
- Mishnick had a single and a double to go 2 for 4 with an RBI.
- Avila went 2 for 2 with two singles and an RBI.
- Kyndell Garcia was walked twice as she finished 1 for 2 with a single.
- Samantha Bustos went 1 for 4 with a single.
