AUSTIN, Texas — The Sul Ross State softball team let a four-run lead slip away Saturday afternoon during the series finale against the Concordia University Tornados.
The Tornados rallied back to win the game 7-4 to secure the three-game sweep at Roberts Family Field.
>> HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Lobos scored two runs in the top of the first when
Madison Hodges hit an RBI single to left while
Toni Mishnick scored on a passed ball.
Sul Ross State tacked on two more runs in the top of the second as
Vivian Jimenez scored during a first and third situation.
Lily Wiser later hit an RBI single up the middle to bring in
Samantha Chavez.
Concordia did not tally a hit until the bottom of the third when Megan Hooper hit a leadoff solo home run to spark a four-run frame that tied up the game.
The Tornados took the lead in the bottom of the fifth on a sacrifice fly to left by Kylie Kirk.
In the bottom of the sixth, Concordia added two insurance runs after tallying four hits to increase the lead to 7-4.

- The Lobos tallied six hits.
- Hodges finished 3 for 4 with three singles and an RBI.
- Wiser went 2 for 3 with two singles and an RBI.
