>> WHAT THE COACH SAID:

"It was really nice. We hit the ball really well. We made some defensive errors that we haven't made all year long. We've been solid on defense, but they hit the ball and made us make plays. We pitched good enough and hit the ball enough that we were able to win. I think we're on the right track of where we need to be. We just got to get confident. We just got to get an even balance and get them to where there's not that roller coaster ride. It's just a process. We're getting there." — Head coach Troy Canaba

>> WHAT THE PLAYERS SAID:

"Offensively, I know I have to do a job. It feels really good winning. I know the week before we had a bump in the road. This really proves that we know how to work together and we know how to play." — Ciera Avila

"I just made sure to really just focus on hitting my spots. My outsides were working really well. I have to say a big thank you to my catcher Sam (Bustos). She made me look good out there. Overall, I tried my best to hit my spots. Our hard work is paying off. We're working really hard in practice, really focusing on outfield, infield and pitching bullpens. It just shows that practice is working." — Hannah Clark

>> UP NEXT: The Lobos to travel to Longview, Texas for a three-game series with LeTourneau University beginning with a doubleheader at 4 p.m. CST Friday, March 1.
