TYLER, Texas — On Wednesday night, the Sul Ross State women's soccer team suffered a 10-0 loss to the UT Tyler Patriots at Citizens First Bank-Perkins Soccer Complex.
>> HOW IT HAPPENED:
UT Tyler scored five minutes into the first half when Brooke Mullins found the back of the net with an assist from Launa Torrez.
Three minutes later, Mullins scored her second goal with an assist by Natalie Jones.
Torrez extended UT Tyler's lead to 3-0 with a goal in the 12th minute off an assist by Mullins.
A minute later, Melissa Oliveira struck the back of the net with another assist from Mullins.
Mullins notched the hat trick with a goal in the 16th minute that came off a pass from Marin Love to make the score 5-0.
UT Tyler got one more goal in the 29th minute as Jacqueline Wiebe scored with an assist by Samaris Alvarado.
The Patriots scored four more goals in the second half. Brooklyn Robinson scored the final two goals of the match during the 86th and 88th minutes.

- The Lobos played their former American Southwest Conference foe for the first time since 2018.
