ODESSA, Texas — On Saturday afternoon, the Sul Ross State women's soccer team suffered a 2-0 loss to the UT Permian Basin Falcons at the UTPB Soccer Field.

>> HOW IT HAPPENED:

Lara Brewis found the back of the net for the Falcons two minutes into the match as she fired it in to the top left corner of the goal from nearly 30 yards out.

UT Permian Basin got its second goal during the 89th minute when Laura Perez scored on a penalty kick.

>> RECORDS: UT Permian Basin (4-5-2, 2-4-1); Sul Ross State (2-9, 0-7)

>> GAME NOTES:

• The Falcons out-shot the Lobos, 16-5.
• UT Permian Basin had 10 shots on goal while Sul Ross State was held to one.
• Soleil Ortez had two shots and one shot on goal.
• Mia Serrano, Destiny Garcia and Andrea Iniguez each tallied one shot.
• Celeste De La Rosa made eight saves.
