LAREDO, Texas — On a steamy Sunday afternoon, the Sul Ross State women's soccer team got a preview of things to come when it faced a future Lone Star Conference opponent.
The Texas A&M International University Dust Devils scored five goals in the second half to pitch a 6-0 shutout at Dustdevil Soccer Field.
>> HOW IT HAPPENED:
TAMIU scored seven minutes into the first half on a penalty kick.
The score remained 1-0 at the half.
TAMIU's second goal came during the 66nd minute.
Towards the waning minutes of the contest, TAMIU got four more goals in the 79th, 80th, 85th and 87th minutes.
