CLARKSVILLE, Ark. — It was a defensive battle on Thursday evening at the Hurie Soccer Field.

The University of the Ozarks Eagles scored early in the opening half which proved to be the game-winner over the Sul Ross State men's soccer team.

>> HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Eagles struck three minutes into the match.

Sul Ross State had only attempted two shots while the Eagles tallied 11 shots.

In the second half, the Lobo defense buckled down.

Sul Ross State attempted four shots, however it wasn't able to even up the score.

• Cristobal Rodriguez had two shots and one shot on goal.
• Jacob Garza, Israel Torres, Julio Hinojos and Marco Rey all had one shot.
• Rey and Torres each finished with one shot on goal.
• Goalkeeper Jesus Grajeda made four saves. He now has 11 saves this season.
