For the final time, the five Sul Ross softball seniors trotted out onto the diamond at the Lobo Softball Field during the home finale against the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor on Saturday afternoon.
No. 18 UMHB completed the sweep of the Lobos with a 13-0 victory in five innings.
>> HOW IT HAPPENED:
Three of the five seniors tallied a hit.
Nadia Valverde singled to center in the bottom of the fourth while
Jaelyn Zuniga hit a single up the middle during the same inning.
Both Valverde and Zuniga finished 1 for 2.
In the bottom of the second,
Camryn Hardin beat out an infield single to the shortstop. She also reached base on a fielder's choice in the fourth to end up going 1 for 2.
Jenna Spencer tallied a single through the left side of the infield during the bottom of the fifth.
Spencer also drew a walk in the bottom of the third to finish 1 for 1.

- Valverde now has the highest batting average on the team at .402.
- Valverde ranks second on the team with 35 hits while she leads the squad with four home runs, eight doubles and 22 RBI.
- Annika Canaba has a team-high 37 hits while she sports a .394 average.
- Canaba currently has a .331 career batting average which puts her second all-time since 2019.
- Canaba has played and started in 156 games in her five-year career. Since 2019, Canaba's mark is the highest.
- Canaba leads the team with nine stolen bases.
- Samantha Chavez recorded the longest hitting on the team (17 games, March 16-April 28).
- Chavez ranks third on the team with 33 hits and a .351 average.
- Hardin is riding a nine-game hitting streak. During the span, she has tallied 15 hits and eight RBI.
