BELTON — The Sul Ross State baseball team evened up the series with Mary Hardin-Baylor on Friday afternoon by notching a 13-4 win at Red Murff Field.
A doubleheader was scheduled, but due to the severe weather, Game 3 will resume at 12 p.m. Saturday, April 29.

The Lobo offense came out with a bang during Game 2.
Carsen Thor started off the fireworks by putting Sul Ross ahead, 3-0, after he belted a three-run home run in the top of the first.
Sul Ross added three more runs in the top of the second when
Primo Vasquez drove in
Matthew Wheeler on a fielder's choice.
Aaron Morales and
Tristan Karels then delivered back-to-back RBI singles.
The floodgates opened up in the top of the third when the Lobos pushed across seven runs on five hits.
Mateo Saenz got the rally started with a two-RBI double. Vasquez later hit an RBI single.
With the bases loaded, Karels drew a walk to drive in Saenz.
Tye Lindsey made the score 12-0 when he hit a clutch two-RBI single to center.
Karels scored the final run of the rally when he stole home.
The Lobos had 13 hits.
Starter
Gage Cobb improved to 3-2 after he tossed a five-hitter with three strikeouts.
Christian Loveless relieved the final two innings as he struck out two batters and allowed two hits.
Thor finished 2 for 4 with three RBI while Vasquez went 1 for 5 with two RBI.
Morales tallied two singles, two walks and an RBI to go 2 for 3.
Karels ended up going 1 for 2 with two RBI and a walk. Saenz went 2 for 4 with two RBI and two runs scored.
Wheeler hit a pair of singles to go 2 for 3.
