RICHARDSON, Texas — Just four games remain this season for the Sul Ross State volleyball team.
On Saturday afternoon, the Lobos gave it their all against the University of Texas at Dallas Comets.

The sets were competitive as the Comets ended winning in four, 25-23, 25-18, 20-25, 25-20, at the UTD Activity Center.
>> HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Lobos were trailing by seven points in the middle of the opening set.
Sul Ross State used a 4-0 run to cut the deficit to three points.
Daniella Garcia and
Cassandra Espinoza tallied a pair of kills during the run.
The Lobos kept battling until they tied up the score at 22-all.
Tatyana Colon served up back-to-back aces while
Loren Garcia had a kill during the 4-0 run.
UT-Dallas then got the final kill to secure the victory.
The second set featured four different lead changes.
Sul Ross State held a 14-11 lead after a kill from Espinoza. She later tallied another kill to keep the lead at three points.
UT-Dallas went on a 4-0 run to take an 18-16 lead.
The Lobos battled back to trail by one point twice towards the end of the set after a pair of kills from
Sarah Chavez and
Loren Garcia.
Using a 6-0 run, the Comets pulled away to take the 2-0 lead in the match.
Trailing 8-5 early in the third set, the Lobos used a 5-0 run that featured two service aces and a kill by Espinoza and another kill from Chavez to take a 10-8 lead.
The score was tied twice during the final stretch of the set.
Sul Ross State was able to prevail, 25-20, after two kills by
Loren Garcia and
Edie Coleman.
Nine different lead changes occurred during the fourth set.
Espinoza got the Lobos to within one later in the set, but the Comets closed out the set on a 5-1 run.

- Espinoza had a team-high 15 kills as she tallied a double-double with 11 digs.
- Daniella Garcia added with 13 kills.
- Eliana Mata had a double-double with 21 assists and 10 digs.
- Brylee Sweeten also recorded a double-double with 18 assists and 13 digs.
- Caitlyn Pena finished with 10 digs.
- Colon had two service aces and 23 digs. Colon leads the team with 22 service aces and 250 digs.
- Espinoza and Loren Garcia each had two service aces.
- Daniella Garcia now has a team-high 198 kills.
- Mata has recorded a team-best 328 assists.
