It's time for shiny buckles, bulls and bucking broncos.
This weekend, the best collegiate rodeo in the country takes place in Alpine.
For three days, athletes will be competing in feature slack events that all lead up to the main 7 p.m. performance.
The 77th Annual Sul Ross National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association Southwest Region Rodeo will be held at the S.A.L.E. Arena from Thursday-Saturday, Sept. 22-24.
This year's event will be streamed exclusively on the Cowboy Channel.
"It's the beauty and the beast of our schedule. This is our one home game of the year," said Sul Ross rodeo coach C.J. Aragon. "We have the best crowd and student section of any college rodeo. That makes a big difference for our kids."
