BELTON, Texas - Softball battled hard in Friday's doubleheader with #12 Mary Hardin-Baylor, falling 2-1 and 3-1.
"The team played well today, we just came up short and didn't get that timely hit we needed," said head coach
Troy Canaba. "We are just going to regroup and get ready for tomorrow."

Camryn Hardin in the third for a 1-0 advantage that went to the fifth.
UMHB took the lead back with a pair in the bottom of the fifth and won by the same score.
Jodie Vaughn went the compete six innings for the Lobos. She allowed one earned run on six hits and had two strikeouts.
Hardin finished with a game-high three hits in the leadoff spot.
Game 2: Mary Hardin-Baylor 3, Sul Ross 1
The Crusaders took an early 1-0 advantage in the second inning.
Hardin kept hitting, doubling around
Veronica Rodriguez in the top of the third for a 1-1 tie.
UMHB retook the lead with one in the third and added another in the sixth for a 3-1 advantage that went final.
Danielle Gomez went all six innings with three earned on eight hits.
Sully now stands at 20-16 and 13-13 in the ASC. UMHB moves to 27-9 and 20-6.
The Lobos and Crusaders finish the series at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
