ALPINE, Texas - Softball completed a series sweep of University of the Ozarks with an 8-0 win at Lobo Field.

Annika Canaba were each celebrated after the conclusion of today's game.
"It was a great weekend for our team and our seniors," said head coach
Troy Canaba. "I'm so proud of the way we played!"
Nadia Valverde put Sully on the board in the first with an RBI single to score
Annika Canaba.
The Lobos tacked on three more in the third. It started with a two-RBI triple from
Camryn Hardin that brought around
Heather Rios and
Raquelle Bernal.
Samantha Chavez then walked and utilized her speed to bring in another run. She immediately headed for second after the walk and combined with Hardin for a double steal. Chavez was safe at second and Hardin came home for a 4-0 advantage after three.
After a scoreless third, Sully got the bats going again with four in the fourth. Canaba unloaded the bases with a three-RBI double, scoring Rios,
Veronica Rodriguez and Chavez to make it 7-0. Valverde then singled around Canaba for an 8-0 lead that went final after five innings.
Jodie Vaughn started her second game of the series, this time going five innings with six strikeouts and three hits allowed for her 12th win of the season. She finished the series with 11.2 shutout innings, 16 strikeouts, five hits given up, and a save.
Canaba and Valverde each finished with a game-high two hits. Canaba led the way with two runs scored and three RBI.
The Lobos are now winners of their last eight to move to 20-14 on the season and 13-11 in the ASC. Ozarks falls to 6-25 and 4-19.
Sully next travels to Belton to battle Mary Hardin-Baylor with a doubleheader on Friday and a single game on Saturday.
