MARSHALL — On Saturday morning the Sul Ross State men's and women's cross-country teams were in action at the American Southwest Conference Cross Country Championship.
In the women's competition,
Reagan Ramsey finished 38th to lead Sul Ross with a time of 27:43.1. Ramsey earned the team 33 points.
Cody Melancon,
Isabella Andolina and
Kylie Garcia posted times of 34:02.5, 36:14.3 and 36:17.3, respectively, to finish 62nd, 63rd and 64th.
Veronica Castaneda came in 68th after running a time of 43:21.6.
The Lobos finished eight out of eight teams with 229 overall points.
Logan Farris led the men with a 55th-place finish after clocking in at 29:40.3.
Chris Bell posted a time of 32:47.6 to place 79th.
Mark Canales,
Lee Kubosh and
Connor Archer all came in the 88th-90th positions with the times of 40:19.2, 40:47.6 and 40:51.7, respectively.
Sul Ross scored 265 points to finish eighth out of eight teams. The Lobos were 23 points behind seventh-place Mary Hardin-Baylor.
