AUSTIN, Texas - Men's hoops finished the week in Austin with a 91-68 loss to Concordia.
First Half
Concordia opened with a 5-0 run but soon trailed 8-7 after an 8-3 answer by the Lobos.
Mitchell Martinez started with a layup before
Daveone Bass and
Julian Paredes hit back-to-back triples for the 8-7 score. The game remained closed with three lead changes until the Tornados opened a double-digit advantage with 5:25 left.
Logan Dixon used his own 6-0 run to cut it to 32-24 with just over two minutes left, but Concordia took a 41-26 advantage to the break.
Second Half
Julian Paredes got it back to single digits with a three-pointer for a 45-36 score with just over 15 minutes left. The Tornados controlled the pace from there, taking it by a 91-68 final.
Stats
Paredes scored a team-high 16, adding six rebounds and two steals.
Dixon and
Omar Ibarra each finished with 10 points.
Bass matched a game-high seven rebounds.
The Lobos fall to 5-9 on the season and 2-7 in ASC play. Concordia moves to 8-4 and 5-3.
