ALPINE, Texas - Thirteen shots with eight on goal led to a 36th minute goal from
Joanna Estrada to help lead the Lobos to a 1-0 home win over Concordia.
Estrada broke the 0-0 tie in the 36th minute off an assist from
Sarayi Serrano for a 1-0 lead that extended to the half.
The Lobos put up nine shots in the first half compared to zero from the Tornados.
Sully and CTX both totaled four shots in the second half but neither side found the back of the net for a 1-0 Lobos win.
Goalkeeper
Alitzel Ybarra came away with a shutout on a pair of saves after 90 minutes in goal.
Of the eight shots put on goal, Sully saw two each from Estrada and
Nuvia Guillen. The other four came from Serrano,
Yissel Olivares,
Aileen Rincon, and
Britney Berumen.
The win gives the Lobos a 2-1 record on the season and in ASC play. Concordia falls to 0-3-1 and 0-3.
Sully next prepares for a Monday, March 8 home game against Hardin-Simmons.
