Lobos soar over War Hawks, 4-1 #SRSU | #ASCsoccer | #d3soccer

ABILENE, Texas - Two goals in the first half and two in the second, all from different players, helped the Lobos to a wire-to-wire win over McMurry, 4-1.

Jesus Monreal broke the scoreless tie in the 22nd minute off an assist from Antonio Lozano for a 1-0 lead.

Nana Prempeh got the Lobos on the board again five minutes later with an assist from Arturo Madrid for a 2-0 lead that extended to the half. It was Prempeh's second goal of the season.

McMurry cut the deficit in half in the 76th minute with a goal from Santiago Nunez for a 2-1 game.

Madrid wasted no time netting his second of the season in the 80th minute for a 3-1 lead.

Eddie Rodriguez followed Madrid's example with a goal just over four minutes later. It was assisted by Luis Gonzalez for a 4-1 lead that would eventually go final.

The Lobos totaled 13 shots with nine on goal.

Prempeh led both sides with a game-high four shots, putting put two on goal.

Madrid and Monreal also put two on goal.

Alexis Tellez played the entire 90 minutes in goal and saved four shots.

Sully improves to 2-2-1 on the season and in conference play. The War Hawks fall to 0-6 and 0-4.

The Lobos next travel to Abilene for a Saturday night match against Hardin-Simmons on March 20.
