SEGUIN, Texas - Looking to bounce back after a close road loss to McMurry, the Lobos held a lead through the first quarter but were shutout the rest of the way by Texas Lutheran in a 24-3 loss.

After TLU forced a punt on Sully's opening drive, they started moving down the field and eventually reached the other side of the 50-yard line.

On first down at the 43, Ronin Williams scooped up a fumble forced by Cory McMahan and rumbled 49 yards to TLU's 18-yard line.

The Lobos were able to reach the 10-yard line on the ensuing drive for a 27-yard field goal by Jaden Brown and a 3-0 lead with 8:24 left in the first quarter.

After both offenses were held to punts their next possessions, the Lobos came up big again defensively on the first play of the next Bulldogs drive. James Parker forced a fumble from running back Wade Freeman and recovered it at TLU's 49-yard line.

The Lobos were able to move down the field their next drive and eventually got to the 19-yard line. The Bulldogs defense came up big on 3rd down, sacking Jorge Barrera for a 10-yard loss to force a punt.

TLU started a drive late in the first quarter and eventually kicked a game-tying 34-yard field goal in the second after a 13-play, 63-yard drive for a 3-3 score with 10:04 left in the first half.

Starting at their own 27-yard line, Ozias Wright, Kendrick Jefferson, and Dre'Chan Moody combined for 32 yards rushing to help move the Lobos into field goal range. Brown's 49-yard attempt missed wide left to keep the game 3-3 with 5:20 left in the second quarter.

The Bulldogs used the next 3:15 of the quarter on an 8-play, 68-yard drive that ended with a DaKory Willis 14-yard touchdown run for a 10-3 lead that went to the half.

After both sides were held to punts their first drives of the second, TLU again found the end zone their next possession with a Freeman 14-yard touchdown run for a 17-3 lead at 9:52 that stretched to the fourth.

Willis found the end zone on more time for TLU with a three-yard score in the fourth quarter for a 24-3 lead that would eventually be the final.
