JACKSON, Mississippi - Men's hoops never trailed in Sunday's 71-58 road win over Millsaps.
First Half
The Lobos started strong on an 8-0 run with a layup from
Julian Paredes and back-to-back triples by
Trey Nelson. Sully then went on a 17-1 run to lead 25-4 with just under nine minutes left in the first half. They again got it up to 21 at 35-17 with two triples from
Eli Gonzalez and a Nelson jumper before taking a 38-20 lead to the break.
Second Half
Sully's offense continued to up their advantage, extending it to as many as 32 after a pair of three-pointers by
Omar Ibarra for a 67-35 lead. Millsaps fought back down the stretch, cutting it to 10 with just under a minute left, but the Lobos took down the Majors in a 71-58 final.
Stats
Daveone Bass finished with a game-high 19 points on 7-of-8 shooting, 3-of-4 from behind the arc and 2-of-2 from the free throw line.
Nelson added 15 points.
Paredes finished with a game-high seven rebounds.
Gonzalez had a game-best seven assists.
The Lobos improve to 5-7 on the season and remain 2-5 in the ASC.
