LONGVIEW, Texas - Volleyball got out to a one set lead before LeTourneau took the final three in a four-set loss Friday night to the YellowJackets.

Set 1:
LETU got out to an 8-2 lead before Sully narrowed the gap and took their first lead with a kill by
Annika Canaba and then an attack error for a 15-14 score. That was the start of an 8-1 run to put Sully ahead six. Canaba notched two more kills while
Kamrynn Caruth added a kill and
Tatyana Colon finished the run with a service ace to lead 21-15.
Their advantage was cut to three down the stretch until
Taryn Griner put set one in the win column by a 25-21 score with a kill.
Set 2:
A service error and attack error by LeTourneau gave the Lobos a 2-0 lead to start set two.
The YellowJackets then went on a 5-1 run to lead by two.
Down 7-4, Sully went on a 6-1 run to go ahead 10-8. Griner added three more kills before
Isabella Ruiz ended the run with back-to-back aces.
LeTourneau took the lead back at 12-11 and went on to hold a slim advantage until the Lobos tied it at 16-16 with kills from Canaba and
Mia Bella Ruiz. The YellowJackets later upped it to as many as four before Sully trimmed it to one late with back-to-back kills from Canaba and an ace from
Faith Herrera to trail 23-22.
LETU was able to even the match with the final two points of the set to take it 25-22.
Set 3:
The Lobos trailed out of the gate in set three and didn't take their first lead until 6-5.
LeTourneau took their next advantage with a small 3-0 run to go ahead 11-9 and later upped it to 17-12.
Sully came racing back with a 5-1 answer to trail 18-17. Griner had three kills during the streak and
Loren Garcia added one.
The YellowJackets again went up five at 22-17 before a 6-2 run got the Lobos to within one at 24-23.
LETU was able to notch the final point to take a 2-1 match lead.
Set 4:
The Lobos took an early 4-1 advantage with kills from Herrera, Canaba and an ace from Caruth. Sully continued to hold the lead until LeTourneau took their first of the set with a 5-0 run for an 11-9 advantage.
Sully tied it twice with a 3-1 answer before the YellowJackets used a 5-0 run to lead 17-12.
A
Mia Bella Ruiz kill and ace started a small 3-0 answer to cut it to four, but LeTourneau responded with the final three of the set to take it 25-18 and the match in four sets.
Canaba finished the match with a game-high 23 kills to go with 22 assists and 11 digs for her eighth triple-double of the season.
Caruth had a team-best 24 assists with six digs and four kills.
Herrera and
Mia Bella Ruiz both had a game-high 19 digs.
Griner finished with a season-best 16 kills.
The Lobos move to 14-9 on the season and 10-7 in the ASC. LeTourneau improves to 15-9 and 10-7.
Sully concludes the regular season on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in Richardson against UT Dallas.
