FROM COACH E:
- We ran out of time today. Unfortunately that was a recurring theme for us this year.
- I prefer we look on the bright side. Two months ago when I arrived on campus I met the players for first time. That is an unusual situation to say the least. Especially in a partial COVID year.
- Our program is in good shape moving forward.
- We say farewell to our first class of four-year graduates. We are forever indebted to them for their perseverance and commitment. They led the right way all year long and made sure we maxed out. Our team has a definitive style of play now and they have been a huge part of that.
- Going forward you can expect to see a Sul Ross team come out and pressure our opponents in their half for long stretches and dominate the game with our possession.
- We have a solid core in place with a good mix of young players and upper classmen who gained valuable experience this year. We will count on them to lead us and build back our roster with some high character guys that can play our style.
The Lobos finish the year 4-9 and 1-8 in conference. HPU finishes 4-12-1 and 2-8.
