Alexis Carmosino posted a game-high 16 points Saturday in a 75-51 road loss to DI University of the Incarnate Word.
The Lobos stood with the Cardinals through the first three minutes of the game, trailing by two and tying the game on two occasions.
A 5-0 ICW run put the Cardinals ahead 9-4 at the 6:30 mark.
Cassie Hogan chipped the deficit to three with a pair of free throws at 6:14 but quickly saw the ICW lead grow to 16-8 at 2:43.

Teresa Quintana jumper at 2:23 cut it to six before the Cardinals finished the quarter on a small 4-1 run for a 20-11 lead heading to the second.
Quintana opened second quarter scoring with a triple to trim the ICW lead to 20-14 just 25 seconds in.
The Cardinals responded with a jumper and a layup before Quintana and Carmosino answered with back-to-back layups for a 24-18 score at 8:08.
ICW controlled the rest of the first half with a with a 20-6 run for a 44-24 lead heading to the break.
Vania Hampton twice cut it to 18 with early jumpers in the third, but an 8-2 proceeding run put the Cardinals up 24 at 4:39.
Kaylee Martinez and Quintana combined for a small 5-0 run over the next 2:15 for a 54-35 score with 2:24 left before the fourth.
After Carmosino and Martinez cut it to 17 on free throws, ICW finished the third on an 8-0 run for a 63-38 lead heading to the final quarter.
Hampton and Carmosino started the fourth with jumpers to cut it to 21.
After ICW responded with a jumper, Quintana did the same and was followed by an
Ashely Roberts triple to make it 67-49 with 3:31 remaining.
The Cardinals had one last run in them, using the remainder of the quarter for an 8-2 run and eventual 75-51 win.
Carmosino led all scorers with 16 and added six rebounds.
Hampton wasn't far behind with 12 points and a game-high eight rebounds.
The Lobos fall to 0-3 on the year. The Cardinals even their season record at 2-2.
Sully now prepares for a conference clash with Howard Payne in Brownwood on Saturday, December 12.
